Dec. 2, 2019 -- Gabrielle Owens surrounded herself with strong mentors she could look to when she doubted herself at Wichita State. She also took advantage of the opportunities offered through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to successfully complete her master’s degree.

Nov. 20, 2019 -- Two years after the successful launch of Wichita State University’s Bachelor of Applied Arts (BAA) in Media Arts program, the university has created the new School of Digital Arts.

Nov. 8, 2019 -- The Wichita State Opera Theater and the WSU Symphony Wind Ensemble will present the North American premiere of “The Path to Heaven” later this month. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center.

Nov. 5, 2019 – The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Wichita State is hosting the first Pediatric Feeding group to help picky eaters and problem feeders.

Sept. 19, 2019 - William Flynn, assistant professor of guitar at Wichita State, recently won the Excellence in Creative Activity Award, which recognizes faculty members who have established an exemplary record of creative activity that has brought recognition to the university.

Sept. 17, 2019 – Wichita State University and Kansas State University have combined resources and started the planning phase of a program that will give students the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Health and Human Sciences at KSU, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) from the College of Health Professions (CHP) at WSU.

Aug. 28, 2019 -- Wichita State student Sarah Myose had the winning entry in a competition to paint a mural on the Clinton Hall stairs. Their inspiration came from their time teaching children to paint dandelions.

Gina Brown believes that case studies are the best possible way to make sure that students are incorporating everything they learn into their practice during their first year in physician assistant (PA) school. Through the PA faculty’s combined efforts, Gina hopes that students leave with the skills, knowledge and character necessary to provide patients with care that’s in their best interest.

This Earth Day, Hatter will make his latest artistic contribution to the Wichita State canvas when his Earth Pod west of the Woodman Alumni Center is dedicated as part of the Earth Day Picnic at the Pod from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, April 22.
